What is the LILATE certificate ?

LILATE is the first adaptive language assessment certificate that allows all professionals in the job market to assess a candidate's operational language skills, before or after training, as well as independently.

This certificate is based on a comprehensive evaluation of language competencies, specifically designed to measure how well a candidate can understand, speak, and interact in a professional context.

🧑‍💻 Assessment Process

The LILATE test takes place via videoconference with a native‑speaker examiner and lasts up to 60 minutes. It can be taken once the training programme is completed.

🎓 Results and certificate

Results are available quickly, within 24 hours, allowing users to easily access useful information for hiring a job seeker, for employee training, or for professional mobility.

The level is awarded according to the CEFR scale (A1 to C2).

The certificate can be downloaded directly from your Lingueo account. It does not have an expiration date; however, some employers may request a certificate issued within the last two years.

If I am financed by France Travail do I still get paid?

| You are a job seeker and receive unemployment benefits (ARE or ASP). As a general rule, these benefits will continue to be paid to you during your training period.

You are compensated during your training if

you start your training, outside of the PPAE, within the framework of a total or partial financing via your Personal Training Account (CPF);
you start your training as part of a personalized employment access project (PPAE) that you have developed with your employment advisor.

In these two situations, you will receive the Allocation d'aide au retour à l'emploi Formation (ARE Formation) which is calculated on the same basis as when you were not in training.

mobility assistance to cover your travel and meal expenses

Can I pay for my training with my CPF?

Yes, you can! Most of our training courses can be funded through your Personal Training Account (CPF). Lingueo was one of the very first organizations to support learners in using their CPF back in 2015. In 2017, we also contributed to making languages CPF-eligible.

CPF-eligible languages

As of today, Lingueo training courses are CPF-eligible in the following languages:

English
Spanish
German
Italian
Chinese
Japanese
Russian
Arabic
Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil)
French Sign Language (LSF)
French as a Foreign Language (FLE)
French (Spelling/Orthography)

This means you can directly use your CPF credits to finance training in any of these languages.

Languages not yet CPF-eligible

Some languages, such as Korean, Hindi, Polish, or Norwegian, are not CPF-eligible yet. In such cases, you still have two options:

fund the training yourself,
or ask your company to cover the cost.

| The financing of continuing training is numerous. They depend on the financial situation of the candidates (employee, job seeker, etc.), who can be guided in their research by the university services of continuing education.

For employees

The different devices can be activated at the initiative of the employer or the employee.

CPF

| The personal training account (CPF) allows people to acquire training rights that can be used throughout their professional lives. It has a universal vocation and is intended for all working people.

Since January 1, 2019, under the law for the Freedom to choose one's professional future, the CPF is credited in euros and no longer in hours.

Who can use the Personal Training Account (CPF) ?

anyone aged 16 and over
by way of derogation, 15 year olds who have signed an apprenticeship contract are also concerned
the Personal Training Account (CPF) is closed on the date on which the holder has claimed all of his or her retirement rights, with the exception of voluntary activities carried out by the employee.

Our CPF-funded courses are offered as hourly packs, allowing you to choose the amount that fits your availability and learning goals. This way, you can plan your training according to your own pace and schedule. For learners in France using the Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF), our rates are public and listed on the official Caisse des dépôts website.
